Deserted by his mother, JC spends his school holidays at her old family home - a tropical estate named Christobel. There too is his brother August, his stepfather Marcus and Marcus's new wife Justine.Upon arriving at Christobel, Justine suffers from a strange distress, driven to attempt suicide.
